Approx. 500 km away from Krasnojarsk, in Boguchany near the Siberian river Angara, started the civil works for a big softwood sawmill on an area of 4 km?. In the first step the state-owned enterprise Kraslesinvest builds a modern, automated sawmill with a capacity of 800,000 to 1,000,000 m? logs. The main suppliers of the equipment are the company Holtec (logyard and sawmill infeed), EWD (profiling line with 150m/min) and the Finish company Jartek (timber sorting). The completion of the sawmill is scheduled for spring 2012. In a later execution stage the sawmill capacity shall be extended. Furthermore shall a complex comprising of pulp mill with an annual capacity of 1 million tons and further production lines for wood-based building materials be installed. According to several press reports a total of 8 million m? raw wood shall be required in future.

The logyard comprises a sorting line with 80 boxes. The profiling line is fed by two feeding lines, each with a Valon Kone debarker and turning device. HOLTEC will start with the delivery of the equipment in March 2011. The management of the company KRASLESINVEST has already made good experiences with HOLTEC systems. Logyard and sawmill infeed for Kraslesinvest are already the eleventh project for HOLTEC in Russia.
